Helping the world to fight hunger!

Food - a basic need for all humans. Unfortunately, 815 million of the 7.6 billion people worldwide (10.7 %) suffer from chronic undernourishment. At this point, GC Rieber Compact Food became involved. For generations, saving lives has been the main goal for the Norwegian company with emergency ready-to-use food rations. So the ProXES Group stepped in to provide an innovative line concept!

Blue Line - A real success story of STEPHAN Machinery

Today, we are going to have a look behind the scenes and go directly into the heart of the company: the production hall. There, we experience lean management and active participation by committed employees. One of the ‘Best Practice’ examples is the UM44 USA Blue Line. More than 25 years ago, a well-known restaurant chain from the USA needed a large number of standardized small machines for ingredient production and food processing. This was the official start of the Blue Line at STEPHAN Machinery: a new production line of a standardized small machine with a particularly powerful engine for food and dough processing.

Colleagues vote the first winner of the new High Five program!

At the STEPHAN Machinery staff meeting on the 09th of May, the recently introduced High Five program was carried out for the first time. Employees were encouraged to nominate other colleagues for their special effort or great assistance to solving a problem. All proposals were evaluated by an employee committee to determine the person with the most votes. The winner of this staff meeting is particularly characterized by his supporting attitude when dealing with colleagues and thus always strives for a very positive working atmosphere. All colleagues congratulate him to this award and wish a great trip to Berlin!

´Zukunftstag´for pupils at STEPHAN Machinery!

In the context of the ‘Zukunftstag’, STEPHAN Machinery GmbH opened its doors again for pupils from the 5th up to 10th grade. The ten participants awaited a great day! Initially, they received practical insights concerning the company's development as well as its international activities. In a subsequent guided tour through the company, experts presented the various departments and corresponding jobs at STEPHAN Machinery. These are very versatile, ranging from industrial clerks, technicians, mechatronics to engineers and international sales staff. One highlight for the visitors was the offer at the STEPHAN Machinery's technical site to manufacture, process, and taste the ganache of chocolate pralines. Further, a 3-D construction of a STEPHAN machine for the production of convenience food was explained and left a great impression on the pupils. In the assembly department, various machines and how those respectively process food were presented. After lunch, the pupils were given the opportunity to learn more about internships and apprenticeships. Finally, Mr. Tingvall, CEO of STEPHAN Machinery, commented on this successful day: ´We want to offer pupils practical insights to help them with their future career choices. STEPHAN Machinery is closely associated with Hamelin and its development. We are happy about everyone we can win for us and our industry. `

Happy Earth Day 2018!

On the occasion of the Earth Day on April 22, 2018, STEPHAN Machinery would like to address the issue of sustainability and highlight its significance in our company. Earth Day is an important international initiative dedicated to the protection of our environment. Every year a different topic emphasis is chosen. The focus of the Earth Day 2018 is plastic pollution and the call for a general change of attitudes towards the consumption of resources and environmental protection. At STEPHAN Machinery, sustainability has been very important for decades. This is reflected above all in product engineering and machine properties. Thanks to the compact design and the all-in-one processes, we achieve considerable savings in consumption. Above all, the use of direct steam injection, with its specially designed injection nozzles, enables up to 75% less energy consumption. Valuable resources such as electricity and water can therefore be put to good use elsewhere. We are also proud of the longevity of our machines. A lifetime of 25 years or more is nothing out of the ordinary for us.

STEPHAN Machinery exhibits at Foodex trade fair!

The final countdown until Foodex 2018 (NEC Birmingham/UK from 16 - 18 April) is ticking! Do you want to experience our machines first hand? Then visit us at stand-no. V270 in hall 3a. We are exhibiting a range of the STEPHAN machines (UM 200, UMC 5, UM 44, UM 12 cabinet, UM 12) and Microcuts (MCH 20 High, MCH 20 D Low). Thus, we will focus on the production of convenience, dairy and confectionary products and provide you the best personalized customer service and information at our stand. The main highlight is a live presentation on chocolate fillings. You are more than welcome to see how our machines work and of course try the freshly made pralines. Anuga FoodTec 2018 was a complete success!

Not only did STEPHAN Machinery receive the International FoodTec Award 2018 in silver with the SAM - STEPHAN ® Aseptic Multitherm. In addition, the collaboration with colleagues from ProXES, FrymaKoruma, SUATEC and Terlet was also extremely successful, especially in regard to the line concept on display. The processing line combined STEPHAN Combitherm with components for grinding produced by FrymaKoruma and for fast cooling after cooking as manufactured by Terlet. Together we were able to make new business contacts, exchange ideas for new products and finally discuss and negotiate with customers about new and concrete projects. And of course, we are particularly pleased about the prestigious award from the DLG (and partners) for pioneering developments in terms of innovation, sustainability and efficiency in the field of food technology. A silver medal is given to products that have been developed to achieve a significant improvement in function or procedure. This award again underlines STEPHAN's competence and the superiority of our products.
